This piece is a collaborative necklace created by Emily of Emipeli Design and Pim of Magic Merkaba. Made entirely from recycled and broken jewellery, it brings together discarded chains, fragmented charms and leftover materials that would otherwise have gone to waste.
The necklace was built through a shared back-and forth process. Passed between the two hands, each maker added new details, repaired elements and reimagined what was already there. Its design evolved gradually, shaped by two different mediums and two different creative viewpoints.
Rather than hiding its origins, the piece highlights them. The mix of textures and mismatched materials reflect the history of the objects it’s made from, celebrating repair, reuse and the value of giving materials a second life.
