Studio Emipeli x BEAM Education
Emipeli Design is a sustainable fashion and wearable art brand founded by artist and designer Emily Rastas. Working exclusively with discarded clothing, textile waste, and dead stock materials, Emipeli creates one of a kind garments that celebrate repair, visibility, and slow fashion. Emipeli Studio is a branch of this work, partnering with BEAM Education in Chiang Mai, hiring tailoring students to construct garments, giving opportunity and income to women displaced by war in Myanmar.
At its core, Emipeli ethos at it’s core is about using what already exists, recreating flaws into new life, treating wear and tear as evidence of a life lived, and repair as an act of care to reduce textile waste in landfills.
Materials are sourced from flea markets and second hand retailers, particularly stained or design for single use second-hand garments, unsellable stock, and deadstock fabrics. They are washed and salvageable sections are recreated into unique, one of a kind garments.

Each patchwork t-shirt is a one-of-a-kind piece designed by Emi and carefully constructed by students at BEAM Education in Chiang Mai. Made from salvaged t-shirts and reclaimed fabrics, every garment is uniquely pieced together, giving new life to materials that would otherwise become textile waste.
Through this project, discarded clothing is transformed into something wearable, expressive, and full of character. No two shirts are the same, each carries its own patterns, colours, and story.
By purchasing a patchwork t-shirt, you’re helping divert textile waste from landfill while supporting skill-building and income opportunities for women rebuilding their lives through BEAM Education.
Cool clothing with a purpose.
