Bangkok Upcycled T-Shirt Collection

The Bangkok T Shirt Project was sparked by a trip to Thailand in January, where I saw firsthand how much fast fashion waste was piling up in markets and on the streets. Coming home, I made the decision to go back and do something with what was already there instead of watching it turn into landfill.

I began sourcing T shirts from second hand markets and street vendors in Bangkok, choosing pieces that were stained, stretched, torn or considered worthless. Instead of being thrown away, each one was transformed by hand using visible mending, patchwork, painting, bleaching, embroidery and deconstruction.

Every shirt is upcycled, individually redesigned and completely one of a kind. There are no duplicates and no mass production, just garments that have been rescued and given a new life. The project is driven by slow fashion, repair culture and the belief that clothing should have a life beyond its first wear.

While I was making the collection I documented the process to create tutorials and repair education that show people how to customise, fix and reinvent what they already own. Each garment keeps its original story and adds a new creative chapter.

When someone buys a piece from this collection they are not just getting a unique T shirt. They are helping fund my sustainability work, future tutorials, workshops and ongoing upcycling projects. Each sale keeps the repair movement growing and allows me to keep doing this work.

These shirts were created in Bangkok, finished by hand and never repeated. They are wearable art with history, personality and purpose, made from waste and reimagined with intention.
